This beautiful poster was designed in 1993 by the famous artist René Gruau to promote Rimini and its historic seaside baths, with the title “Bagni di Rimini.” The poster was created to mark the 150th anniversary of the baths, celebrating the long history of this well-loved Italian coastal destination. The design shows a charming mermaid splashing out of the water while holding a yellow parasol, creating a lively and colourful summer scene. The vibrant palette and elegant illustration style perfectly reflect Gruau’s signature artistic approach. Known for his collaborations with Moulin Rouge, Lido, and the fashion house Dior, Gruau’s work is instantly recognisable and highly regarded in the world of poster art.
