Southwest Pet Policy in Cabin – Rules, Fees & Carrier Requirements
Travelers who wish to bring their pets on board should carefully review the southwest pet policy in cabin
before planning their trip. Southwest Airlines allows small, vaccinated cats and dogs to travel with passengers inside the cabin on domestic flights. Pets must remain inside an airline-approved carrier that fits comfortably under the seat in front of the traveler. The airline also charges a pet travel fee of about $95 per carrier for each direction.
